We are proud to share that Ernst Brothers has been recognized as a 2026 Philadelphia Business Journal Best Place to Work in the small company category. For a company built on trust, it means a great deal to receive that recognition from the people who know us best: our own team.
This is not an award decided by a panel of judges or a checklist of corporate initiatives. The Philadelphia Business Journal's Best Places to Work program is based entirely on employee feedback, measuring the things that actually matter inside an organization: culture, compensation, benefits, and trust in leadership. That makes this recognition different, and that's exactly why it matters to us.

Culture Is Built Every Day, by Everyone
When I shared this news with the Ernst Brothers team, the message I wanted to land was this: culture here is not created by leadership alone. It's built collectively, through the way people show up every day, support one another, care for clients, and contribute to something bigger than any single project.
That's the honest truth of it. A great company culture isn't a program or a perk. It's the accumulation of thousands of small decisions made by real people, every day, on jobsites and in offices and in conversations that never make it into any awards submission. This recognition is a reflection of those people.
Creating an environment where people feel valued, seen, heard, appreciated, supported, and given real opportunities to grow is something I think about every day. It matters deeply to me and to our entire leadership team, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to.

What We Believe Makes Ernst Brothers Different
We think about culture the same way we think about the homes we build: with intention, precision, and a genuine commitment to getting the details right. A few things we hold onto as we grow:
Ownership
Every person at Ernst is trusted to take responsibility for their work and their relationships.
Respect
Leadership is accessible. Voices are heard. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity.
Craft
We attract people who take genuine pride in doing exceptional work, and we support that instinct.
Growth
We're building a company with a future, and we want the people here to grow as it does.

Why This Recognition Matters Beyond the Award
Recognition like this does several things at once. It validates the work that has already been done to build a culture worth belonging to. It gives our current team something concrete to point to when they tell their friends and family about where they work. And it helps us attract the kind of skilled, principled construction professionals who have choices about where they build their careers.
We're not growing for growth's sake. We're building selectively, with purpose, in the luxury residential and commercial market across Philadelphia's Main Line and surrounding communities. That means we need people who bring both technical excellence and a deep sense of care to their work. The Best Place to Work recognition helps us find those people.
A Sincere Thank You
To everyone on the Ernst Brothers team: this is yours. You took the time to share your honest feedback, and that feedback earned this recognition. We don't take that lightly, and we're committed to continuing to earn it.
We are genuinely proud of what we're building here, in every sense of the word.
